Like Tomorrow Doesn't Exist

Hey hey!
So as you know I am generally a big fan of covers especially when the artist tries to make it their own. I love Chandelier and I think it is made legendary because of Sia singing it. Emily West (from America's got talent) does a phenomenal operatic version while cutting out some of the poppy repetitive parts. I think you'll really like it.

Chandelier : Emily West

Hey Sudhir,

These Irish people can sing! This song is an absolute masterpiece I think. One dreamy voice and one guitar and it was just perfect. This guy is going to be big soon. His first album was released this year- you must listen. Also, I would totally go for his concert.

Piece Perfect

Super excited to have our friend  write for us this week. Please give a warm round of applause for Priyanka Malagi. She is a lawyer-turned- YouTuber . Check out her awesome page here - Piece Perfect

Fun Facts: Priyanka loves mangoes, quoting Shakespeare, and climbing trees.

Hey Guys! Music makes my heart beat. Period. Not harder, or faster or any dramatic thing like that; just plain rhythmic beating. It may be a foot-thumping R&B track, a soulful serenade or a head-banging rockathon. Music makes my mood. And in the music world, the cup of astounding music overfloweth.

I have two such numbers to share with you today.

Wisher : Terminal

This track is from their album How the Lonely Keep, the first and only from the band, way back in 2004. The band later split up which is a shame, but the tracks on this album instill a music awakening.

Mirrors : The New Frontiers

If you want something more mellow to kick-start your Monday, indie rock band The New Frontiers may be the way to go. This track from the band is soft, hits just the right notes and takes your day from zero to 10 in 10 seconds.

Have a fantastic Monday guys!

Monday Musicals

Hey,

I know the Tony's don't come with the same anticipation and excitement that the Oscars come with, but I do love musicals! I've never watched the Tony awards beginning to end, but NPH has brought some pizzazz to the show with his exceptional opening acts and this year James Corden put up quite a show too.

I had heard of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton, but it was only recently that I started reading about the show. An amalgamation of Americal history and hip-hop could only result in a musical masterpiece.

Was listening to the soundtrack today- sooo much awesome-ness!

Sudhir- let's watch this sometime please.

Alexander Hamilton : Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording)

Hey hey!

So I was thinking of sending you something from Avenue Q which is one of my favourite contemporary musicals but I figured that I would try to be a little unique. This song is from Chicago which is still one of my favourite musicals of all times. The Twist is that this is an all male performance of Cell Block Tango. Hope you like it.

Also, listen to the Avenue Q soundtack if you haven't. It is great. I know where it is playing in London. Will happily take you any time.

Monday Panic!

Hey,

I told you I was watching the movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E the other day. It was quite enjoyable with its 60s crime and deadpan humour. I loved the soundtrack. It did so much for the movie. The song I picked was featured in the trailer. I might have sent you this song by Laura Mvula a couple years ago.

This is what director Guy Ritchie said about her and I couldn't agree more. "It's not easy to find a new song which matches the power of the classic Nina Simone and Roberta Flack pieces in the film. Laura Mvula has done it with 'You Work for Me'"

You Work for Me : Laura Mvula

Yo!
Don't judge me. But I am actually a big fan of Panic at the Disco. They have an allure that I cannot explain. Their new stuff is exceptional. While heavy on the rock they still play very well to my teenage alt-rock days.

While 'This is Gospel' (The Piano Version) and 'Hallelujah' are my favourites. I am sharing this song because it is just that  - sharable. Enjoy!
